Local Business Collaborative
Early Childhood Center
WHAT WE PROPOSE
A cooperative early childhood center model where businesses unite to meet a common goal: Providing a quality childcare solution for their employees and the community.
How it works
-
Establish a collaborative 501c3 made up of local businesses to oversee multiple child centers.
-
Collaborative run by single administrator with host child care center site directors.
-
Businesses commit to providing yearly stability funding to help with operating expenses, which allows the Collaborative to break even while keeping weekly childcare costs manageable for families.
-
Businesses decide if and how much they will subsidize guaranteed slots for their employees.
-
Multiple 20-150 child centers located across Norfolk all housed under the collaborative umbrella
-
Businesses become collaborative members and provide a childcare benefit to their employees while increasing community capacity.
-
Bonus: You have an opportunity to be a host site and have childcare facilities in your building supported and run by the collaborative .
