July 24, 2026 — The Norfolk Area Childcare Collaborative (NACC) has raised more than $1.3 million—95% of its fundraising goal—to bring the area's newest childcare center to Norfolk.

As the center prepares to open this fall, the Collaborative is seeking to raise the final $65,000 needed to fully fund its Early Learning Tuition Assistance Program, ensuring families with demonstrated financial need who do not qualify for state childcare subsidies can still access high-quality childcare.

The campaign has been made possible through the generosity of local businesses, foundations, public partners and private donors who recognize that expanding access to childcare is essential to strengthening the region's workforce and supporting economic growth.

"The community has already shown an incredible commitment to this project," said Tammy Day, Board President of the Norfolk Area Childcare Collaborative. "We're incredibly grateful to the businesses, foundations and individuals who have helped us reach this point. With just $65,000 remaining, we have an opportunity to ensure that access to high-quality childcare isn't determined by a family's income."

When it opens this fall, the new center at 104 S. 10th Street will provide care for up to 71 children, serving employees of Collaborative member businesses as well as families throughout the broader community.
